What is RPG Maker 2000?

RPG Maker 2000 [also known as Rm2k] is the second version of the RPG Maker series developed by Enterbrain. Rm2k was the most popular RPG maker of its time; being discussed on many popular websites, and enjoyed a large userbase for many years.

RM2K was first taken over by RPG Maker 2003, but has now been superseded by RPG Maker XP. RPG Maker 2000 was also one of the RPG Makers to be illegally translated and distributed by a Russian Programmer named Don Miguel.

Rm2k uses a 320 x 240 screen resolution for playing games, and has 16x16 pixel tiles, with 24x32 character sprites. 'iDraw Chara Maker' is recommended for creating or modifying Rm2k related graphics
