Voices of Lordaeron
Published by Coffee Squid on Saturday at 8:13 AM.
Get to the throne room just above the Undercity and turn your ambiance to full. I won't spoil it for you, but if you're that way inclined, highlight the invisible text between the two tags.
Sounds of the king arguing with his advisers from the opening cut scene of Warcraft 3, and then Arthas' Betrayal. Awesome.
Labels: References, Secrets
Unused Graphics
Published by Coffee Squid on at 6:55 AM.
Here are just some of the dozens of citizens I found hiding in the model viewer that went unused, most of them were either fat or above average weight (and some that were totally hawt). Why weren't they included in the final version of the game? Oh well.
You're the man now, dog!

A reference to the popular internet website 'YTMND', or possibly the move from which the website got its name.
Donkey Kong?
Published by Coffee Squid on at 1:37 PM.
Various ape monsters in WoW drop 'Barrels' quite rarely. A reference to Nintendo's Donkey Kong games, some think.
Smile beneath Karazhan
Published by Coffee Squid on at 12:56 PM.
Below the tower of Karazhan in the Deadwind Pass, it's possible to see a smiley face drawn into the ground in a highlighted texture if you use farsight spells. Bored mapper?
Wirt's Third Leg
Published by Coffee Squid on at 10:35 AM.
This is a pretty well known one, but worth a mention nonetheless. Wirt's Third Leg, as well as being a potential penis joke, makes an appearance in Diablo 2, an earlier Blizzard game. See below.
Goblin Shredder
Published by Coffee Squid on at 10:29 AM.
We'd heard a rumour that the Goblin Shredder (First encountered in the Deadmines) had an unusual image inside it somewhere. One WoW Model Viewer session later, and that was my result.
Incase you don't know, that's Kerrigan from the cover of 'Starcraft: Brood War', another Blizzard game. Image from the SC blizzard site.
Red Speckled Mushroom

Yeah I thought this little guy looked familiar:

Mario is in my warcraft.
